Ask yourself:
Does your supervisors ever buy you lunch?
Are you able to walk into your boss's or owner's office anytime without an appointment to address a concern?
Have you received a birthday gift or card to recognize your special day?
Have you spent most of your down time between calls at a station instead of sitting in your unit on street corners?
Have you received gift cards, on top of overtime, for picking up an extra shifts?
Does management genuinely listen to your input on company matters?
Are you able to go online 24/7 to pick up, give away, or trade shifts easily?
If your answer was “No” to any of those questions, it may be a sign you’re with the wrong ambulance company.
