At Ready Response Medical Transport, we know that arranging non-emergency transport can come with questions. Below are answers to some of the most common things we’re asked. If you need more information, feel free to give us a call!
What areas do we serve?
We primarily serve DC, MD, and VA but we can also accommodate out of state and International (Canada or Mexico) transports when scheduled In advance.
Do we accept Insurance?
If you have PRIOR authorization through your insurance, the answer is YES. We are a private pay company, but you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company - full payment Is required upfront. We recommend contacting your insurance provider for details.
How do I schedule a transport?
Call us directly (2406401450) to schedule. Be prepared to provide the following:
- Pickup and drop-off addresses
- Patient's name, birthday and weight
- Any stairs inside/ outside either location
- Any clients over 300 pounds, or oxygen if required
Do we offer same day transports?
Yes, it is best to reach out 24 hours in advanced. If not, we will do our best to pencil you in.
Do we offer bariatric transport?
Yes, we can accommodate bariatric patients. We ask for advance notice of 24 hours to arrange additional crew support.
What are our hours of operation?
We operate 24 hours/ 7 days a week
Do we allow family members to ride?
In most cases, we allow one family member to accompany the patient.
